nude 2012 Terms and Conditions

Habitat Valencia is calling for submissions for nude 2012. The show is at once an exhibition and an opportunity for young international designers to meet professionals from the interiors industry (manufacturers and retailers) along with a wider audience.

nude 2012 will be a fresh canvas that, through the eyes of the new designers, will reveal the latest trends and innovations that are emerging in the world of interiors.

Terms for Participating

The nude 2012 Show hopes to be a launchpad for new creatives to enter the interiors industry. This is why it is open to students, Design Colleges and young international designers and creatives on the one hand and recently established manufacturers (that have been in business for less than five years) and galleries presenting designs that are in the spirit and terms of the Show on the other.

Submission and selection of designs.

As regards the items themselves, all objects and pieces of equipment designed for interiors are acceptable.
The supporting graphic material relating to the objects and their physical presence on the stand must be submitted for each design.
This material will consist of a detailed description on A3 size art board, which should be presented in a standard A3 file. The file must be properly identified, with the applicant’s details and indicating the number of documents contained in the file. It should also include a CD with jpg’s of the products.
Participants should complete a registration form (see the Habitat website) which should be delivered along with the rest of the design.

The Selection Committee will announce which pieces of work will be displayed at this tenth edition of the nude Show.

Applicants selected to exhibit their work at the nude Show will be required to make a payment of 800 euros + 8% VAT to cover the rental of a pre-decorated stand. This payment must be made by 1st September 2012.

Payment of this fee must be made by bank transfer, specifying “Proyecto nude” and the name of the designer, design team or college/university, to the following bank account:

Exhibition of work.

As regards the exhibition itself, the nude Show organisers will, along with the selection Committee’s report, provide information on the technical specifications of the display space and which areas of the space the designer concerned will be able to decorate and what form of decoration will be permitted.

The Selection Committee.

The Selection Committee will be tasked with assessing which designs present features that best embody the spirit of the nude Show. The Committee will also verify compliance with the terms and conditions governing participating in the Show.
The Selection Committee, or a part of the Committee delegated to do so, will check that each design accepted does indeed comply with the terms and may refuse to allow a piece of work to be displayed if there is a clear divergence between the design that was approved and the object that is put on display.
The Committee’s decisions will be final and the Committee will have the authority to make any decisions that should need to be made during the selection process and subsequent exhibition.

Publicity

The Organisers will publish leaflets, press releases, a nude blog, electronic newsletters and news on the nude 2012 website, to which end they will request that exhibitors provide such graphic material as they may consider necessary.
