Cuatro cuatros es un estudio de diseño formado en 2010 por Isabel Cortina, Marina Francés, Adrián M. Almonacid y Cristina Ródenas. Todos titulados en Diseño Industrial por la UPV. Sus diseños buscan no pasar desapercibidos aportando nuevas soluciones a objetos cotidianos, sin para ello tener que recurrir a una estética llamativa. En 2010 fueron premiados con la beca NUDE-Bancaja. La Colección Ángulos que presentan en nude 2011 nace de un estudio de las ilusiones ópticas y su aplicación al diseño de mobiliario. Recibe este nombre dada la importancia del punto de vista desde el que se observan los productos. El efecto aparece y desaparece, provocando un juego con el usuario. Los diseños parten de un planteamiento gráfico que se materializa en objetos que cumplen su función y a su vez conservan la fuerza visual. Destaca la búsqueda del esquematismo, dinamismo, experimentación y la ausencia de herrajes.
Cuatro cuatros is a design practice that was set up in 2010 by Isabel Cortina, Marina Francés, Adrián M. Almonacid and Cristina Ródenas. All graduated in Industrial Design at the UPV (Polytechnic University of Valencia). They try to create designs that will not go unnoticed, providing new solutions for everyday objects yet without having to resort to bold aesthetics. In 2010 they were awarded the NUDE-Bancaja bursary. The Ángulos (Angles) Collection they are presenting at nude 2011 is the result of research into optical illusions and their applications in furniture design. The collection derives its name from the importance of the point of view from which a product is seen. The effect appears and disappears, creating a game with the user. The starting point for the designs is a graphic proposition that posits objects that fulfil their function whilst being visually strong. Major features of the designs are their simplicity, energy, experimental nature and an absence of fittings.
