Los movimientos artesanos actuales y el territorio del “hand made” tienen un referente en l’Escola d’Art i Superior de Ceràmica de Manises.
En sus talleres y aulas se ensayan e investigan fórmulas para definir el «Artesano» del siglo XXI.
La artesanía «tradicional» con formas renovadas y la artesanía “high tech” conviven en sus aulas dando respuesta a las necesidades objetuales de una sociedad cambiante que aprecia el valor intrínseco del material cerámico.
El torno del alfarero y el modelado manual convive con las impresoras de barro 3D en un ambiente no exento de debate y controversia que desea definir el concepto de «Artesano» actual.
La EA+SC de Manises en un centro vivo en el Espacio Europeo de Educación Superior que depende funcionalmente del Instituto Superior de Enseñanzas Artísticas de la Comunidad Valenciana.
The Escola d’Art i Superior de Ceràmica de Manises is a hub of research and testing of the formulae that will define the “Craftsman’ of the 21st century and has, as such, become a point of reference for current artisan and ‘hand-made’ movements.
At the school, ‘traditional’ craftsmanship and updated shapes rub shoulders with ‘high tech’ craftsmanship, reflecting what a society that is changing all the time and that appreciates the intrinsic value of ceramic wants from the objects it uses.
The potter’s wheel and modelling by hand stand alongside 3D earthenware printers in an environment where debate and controversy thrive and that seeks to define the current concept of “Artisan”.
The Manises EA+SC (Advanced School of Art and Ceramic) is a flourishing centre based at the European Higher Education Space, which operates as part of the Comunidad Valenciana Higher Institute of Teaching of the Arts.
