El estudio fundado por Damián López en 2009 presenta una colección que pretende llevar la sostenibilidad a nuestro hábitat más cotidiano. Entre ellos, las lámparas ICON diseñadas para Rafael Tormo Iluminación. Como diseñadores, debemos asumir la responsabilidad que supone crear objetos para el consumo de masas. Nos encontramos frente a una sociedad dominada por una economía de crecimiento cuya lógica no es crecer para satisfacer las necesidades, sino crecer por crecer. En LEBLUME defendemos el diseño sostenible porque nos gustan las cosas naturales, cuidar nuestro entorno y… ¡porque no sabríamos hacer las cosas de otra manera! Partiendo de la fuerte unión que se crea entre un objeto y su usuario, y de cómo éstos interactúan en nuestras vidas cambiando nuestros hábitos y costumbres, confiamos en hacer productos capaces de reeducar al consumidor y de enseñarle a valorar la importancia de una sociedad de consumo sostenible. Objetos que reclaman sencillez y naturalidad como estilo de vida para el hábitat.
The practice founded by Damián López in 2009 is presenting a collection designed to bring sustainability into the most mundane environments. These objects include ICON lamps designed by Rafael Tormo Iluminación. As designers we have to take on board the responsibility implicit in creating objects for the mass market. What we have a society dominated by a growth economy whose logic is not to grow in order to satisfy needs but to grow simply for the sake of growing. At LEBLUME we back sustainable design because we like things that are natural, we like to look after our environment and…because we would not know how to operate any other way! Our starting point is the strong bond that develops between an object and its user and how objects interact in our lives, changing our habits and behaviours. We hope we make products that can re-educate consumers and teach them the value of a society where consumption is sustainable – objects that demand to be used in conjunction with a simple, natural lifestyle and environment.
