Raúl Blanco (Iniesta, 1986) y Carlos Martín (Alcoi, 1985) estudian actualmente I. T. Diseño Industrial y el Máster de Mobiliario e Iluminación en la ESET de la Universidad CEU Cardenal Herrera de Valencia. Es durante sus estudios donde deciden aunar sus esfuerzos y conocimientos para formar el estudio Martiniblanco. Compaginan la realización de proyectos con continuas colaboraciones con estudios del panorama nacional e internacional.
Martiniblanco entiende el diseño como una disciplina creativa, como un ente independiente que vincula a las demás técnicas. Entienden, a su vez, que el diseño tiene como meta final al usuario: no se trata de divagar mediante tretas abstractas para conseguir un fin cambiante y efímero, sino todo lo contrario. En Martiniblanco la meta final es el usuario, sin perder de vista la realidad que les rodea y sus características.
Raúl Blanco (Iniesta, 1986) and Carlos Martín (Alcoi, 1985) are currently studying Industrial Design I.T. and a Masters in Furniture and Lighting at the Advanced School of Technical Specialisms at the CEU Cardenal Herrera University in Valencia. It was during their earlier studies that they decided join forces and pool their knowledge to create the Martiniblanco consultancy. They combine working on projects with ongoing collaborations with other practices across Spain and internationally.
Martiniblanco perceives design to be a creative discipline, an independent entity that links the other techniques together. They also believe that design’s ultimate target is the user: it is not about rambling via abstract ruses to achieve some short-lived change but, instead, quite the reverse. For Martiniblanco the target is the user, without losing sight of the reality that surrounds them and the features of that reality.
