SalLight es un proyecto del estudio de diseño OtherLife, que nace paralelamente al descubrimiento de un nuevo material, un material vivo que respira después de millones de años en la profunda oscuridad de la tierra, emerge a la superficie y nos ilumina en forma de una colección de lámparas. La colección Aladino ha nacido mediante la creatividad y la experimentación, aplicando las últimas tecnologías a la antigua materia de textura rugosa, cristalina, blanca, parda con estratos en tonos grises y negros que dibujan poéticos trazos de pincel que el tiempo ha creado a su capricho. La luz que se tamiza es muy cautivadora, generada por la naturaleza y el azar de los años. Cada pieza es una joya geológica que desprende la luz viva de la naturaleza, un lienzo único e irrepetible. Nuestra luz comenzó a fraguarse hace millones de años con la fosilización de un mar y sus habitantes, quedando atrapados forma de estratos en el interior de la península ibérica. Sin saberlo en un intercambio de ideas introducen la luz de la naturaleza en nuestros hogares y limpian con su luz el aire que respiramos, la halita nos sana, es un material iónico, atrapa los iones positivos que nuestros aparatos electicos emiten al ambiente y lo limpian. Están en auge actualmente los tratamientos para el asma y los problemas de la piel, denominados haloterapia y fundamentados en nuestra musa.La vocación del proyecto SalLight es seguir investigando y desarrollando otros productos que aporten los beneficios de limpiar el aire, además de integrar una luz ambiente que atrapa, decora y acompaña en el confort del hogar, productos para la arquitectura siempre de interiores. SalLight is a Project that has been developed by design practice OtherLife and began to take shape at the same time as a new material was discovered, a live material that is still breathing after a million years in the darkest depths of the earth and has appeared on the surface to brighten our lives in the form of a collection of lamps.The Aladino collection was born out of creativity and experimentation, applying the latest technologies to the oldest of materials, a material that has a rough texture, is crystalline, white, dun-coloured with layers of grey and black tracing poetic brush-strokes created haphazardly over the course of time. The light that comes through these lamps is quite captivating, the product of nature and the arbitrariness of many years. Every piece is a geological joy, giving out a bright, natural light, a unique, unrepeatable canvas.Out lamps began to take form millions of years ago when a sea and its inhabitants became fossilized, trapped in the form of strata in the interior of the Iberian Peninsula. As lamps, now, this fossilized material brings the light of nature into the home, whilst cleansing the air we breathe, healing us. This is an iconic material that attracts the positive ions given off by electrical apparatus, thus cleansing the air. There is currently a rise in halotherapy – treatments for asthma and skin disorders based on our muse. The SalLight project is driven by a desire to continue researching and developing products that deliver the benefits of cleaning the air as well as offering an ambient light that is at once appealing, decorative and adds to the comfort of the home.
